Odysis Onna Resort Hotel

Tucked away on the outskirts of Onna, Odysis is a simple yet beautiful apartment/hotel. The rooms are equipped with a jacuzzi bath, which was extra special. Cooking equipment can be hired for a small fee, which for us in our third week in Japan was a welcome surprise. The beach is literally 15m from the swimming pool, and is reasonably quiet considering next door is a large package hotel with watersports options (which you can also use, Odysis supplied a discount to the 'visitor' fee.

The rooms are spacious and spotless . Great sea view from the bathtub. Comfy beds. The washing machine in the room is a great addition and makes the stay even more comfortable. Great welcome booklet in the room, it answers all the questions that you might have. Nice pool area and the beach is less than 5 minutes from the hotel. Great guy working in reception, so helpful. We enjoyed the small breakfast.

The property was beautiful! We stayed in a room with a balcony and gorgeous bathtub with a view. The breakfast in the morning was delicious with coffee, tea, and water available all day. The resort had beach access and a nice pool. Our favorite part of the stay was the staff. Everyone was so kind, but specifically Gerald. He went above and beyond to make sure my sister and I had a comfortable stay. Gave us insight about the island and places to go and called taxis when we needed them. The kindness of the staff made this stay a 10/10!

It’s a lot smaller than you’d expect, but it was definitely worth the experience. It felt like your own personal resort. Not a lot of people around, so you can enjoy the silence. They do provide English translations, so it made the stay a lot more inclusive than I originally anticipated. They do a great job of housekeeping, as they come every day around 1000 to clean. The rooms came with house slippers, fresh towels, and a set of pajamas. My room had a small kitchen space and washer you could use. If you wanted to cook in the kitchen area, then you could rent out kitchen supplies and make yourself some food. There’s a lot of services that they provide: massage, hot tub, pool, breakfast, cafe, and drinks. It’s also a walking distance to the beach and a Lawson’s. Great place for a quick escape.

We really loved our stay! Very kind staff. The room came with a kitchenette, a washing machine and a jacuzzi. Everything was extremely clean. The breakfast was packed (one could choose between 4 options), we usually ate it in our room. The pool was good and the beach reached within a minute. Restaurants are in walking distance. I can highly recommend the yoga session the hotel offers for a small fee!
